Building Of Scoring Box At Tech. College Cricket Pavilion

Alterations, which include the erection of a scoring box, are at present being made to the Wanganui Technical College cricket pavilion. The work is being carried out by Mr. G. S. Powell, a woodwork instructor at the college. Assisting him are boys of the trade trainee classes, who will ultimately obtain positions in the building trade on leaving school. The scoring box is being built-in above the roof and access will be obtaingd by a stairway from one of the dressing rooms. Ample space will be provided in the box for lockers which will hold cricket gear. Another facility will be the construction of tier-seating accommodation at the front of the pavilion. Minor alterations and a general clean up will be given to the pavilion.
