Youthful Behaviour

Sir, —As a visitor to Wanganui I am amazed and aghast at the behaviour of certain Wanganui youths, in the streets and in broad day-light. Returning up the Avenue on Saturday last, after the picture shows came out, I had to help an elderly lady to her feet. She had been purposely tripped up by one of four youths who quickly got away ahead of us. She had been sent sprawling on the footpath. Perhaps a few words from the teachers in the older boy’s classes, and mention in the papers, would help prevent another such occurrence. —I am, etc., “CANADIAN VISITOR."
