Crazed Fisherman Shoots At People On Beach

SAN FRANCISCO, April 18 (Recd 6 pm). —A crazed fisherman, Boden Karsonik, today barricaded himself in an abandoned dynamite shack at San Pedro and sniped at picnickers on the beach with two pistols before the police wounded him in the head.

Karsonik drove to the beach in a car, leaped out and began shooting wildly. Police in a patrol car who noticed his erratic driving, had followed him and cornered him in the shack, where he continued shooting at everybody he could see. Police reinforcements arrived and Karsonik was wounded in an ensuing gun battle.
