Children Under Five Should Not Be Given Peanuts, Says Doctor
BRISBANE, April 19 (Recd. 8 pm).—Children under five years of age should not be given peanuts to eat, Dr. D. C. Fison, medical superintendent of the Brisbane Children s Hospital, told the Brisbane Coroner’s Court today. Dr. Fison related the story of an unsuccessful two-day fight by skilled medical men to save the life of a 3*-year-old boy who died after inhaling peanut fragments. The boy was eating peanuts in a city store when he was accidentally bumped by a passing woman.
