TEN RINKS QUALIFY IN WANGANUI EASIER BOWLING TOURNAMENT
Tlay in the Wanganui Bowling Centre's Easter tournament has reached the post-section stage, lor which 10 teams have qualified. Two ol them are visiting rinks, one from New Plymouth and another from Waitara, and postsection play will begin at 8.45 a.m. touay on the Wanganui Bowling Club's green in Nelson Slreet. The tournament is expected to conclude tomorrow.
Skips o£ the rinks which have qualified are: W. L. McKay (New Plymouth I, G. N. Boulton (Wanganui), J. S. D. Tizard (St John's), eight wins each; F. Olsson (Waitara), W. Harris (Wanganui), W. Raine (Wanganui East), J. Steel (Wanganui), T. Liddell (Wanganui), R. Bond (Wanganui), J. Glover (Gonville), seven wins each. Weather conditions were again ideal for play yesterday and some good games were seen. A feature o£ this year’s tournament is the support of visiting teams from other centres. Some of them have been coming to Wanganui at Easter for a number of years and others are taking part in the tournament for the first time. Results of yesterday's play are:— SECTION A. (At Wanganui.)
