Visiting Bowlers Were Pleased With The Easter Tournament In Wanganui
The Wanganui Bowling Centre’s Easter bowling tournament, which reaches post-section play today, has been voted one of the best the centre has yet promoted. A New Plymouth visitor, commenting to the “Chronicle” last night, said that his team, and he felt ail visitors, would take away with them very happy memories. Except for the first day, when the weather was unkind, the elements were favourable-—bracing autumn weather, dominated by bright sunshine. Among the visiting rinks were Cottham’s from New Plymouth, Lynneberg and Urquhart, from Khandallah (Wellington), Frank Olsson’s four from Waitara, J. Peel, of Vogeltown (New Plymouth). Olsson is a former champion oarsman. Peel’s four won the tournument last year, but this year failed to qualify
