Special Sale Of Cattle At Taihape
The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd. in conjunction with Abraham and Williams Ltd. report a most successful sale of station cattle on account of Messrs. Bartosh and Doole, Taihape. The cattle came forward in splendid order and were the subject of most favourable comment from a large bench of buyers who were most appreciative of the quality, quietness breeding and condition of the cattle offered; it would have been difficult to fault any one beast of the yarding of 761 head offered and sold:' the manner in which the cattle were brought forward for sale reflected great credit on Messrs. Bartosh and Doole' which is borne out by the fact that the yarding realised just over £lO,OOO an average of £l3 3s per head, which for a yarding of this size oi young cattle should prove to be a record. This sale also establishes a
precedent in that it is the first time in the history of the ManawatuWest Coast that such a large offering of well bred station cattle have been sold at public auction on account of one property.
