ELLERSLIE INQUIRIES
AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA).— I Following the running of the Easier Handicap at. Ellerslie yesterday an inquiry was held into alleged interferlence by Sleepy Fox with Shirley Fox. |No action was taken. I. Galvin, rider of Lcrd Foxbridge in [the Great Northern Champagne Stakes, was questioned concerning the (running about of the horse in the race. The cause was found to be a twisted plate. N, R. Bowden, rider of Hazsoult, and A. Morton, trier of Race Chum ■in the Mangere Steeplechase, were [taken to hospital with concussion and !a fractured collarbone respectively [after their mounts had fallen in the [race. Morton was later discharged. [Race Chum broke his neck and was Idestroyed.
