Easter In Jerusalem

LONDON, April 15:—Reuter's Jerusalem correspondent says that Good Friday passed unnoticed in Jerusalem except by a few members of the Christian community who crossed to the Old City to attend services. The streets were thronged with Jewish visitors from other parts of Palestine and abroad for Passover Week. On Sunday the Jaffa Gate, in the western wall of the Old City, will be open all day to allow Christians to attend Easter Mass in the Old City s Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Many members of the diplomatic corps in Israel are expected to attend the ceremonies, which include a procession from the Mount of Olives to Calvary.
