Pope Says Television Will Aid Truth
PARIS, April 17 (Rec. 12.10 a.m.) —“We expect most far-reaching consequences from television by the ever more dazzling revelation of truth to fair minds," said the Pope, after he was televised today for the first time. The French television service transmitted a film which was sent from the Vatican. The Pope, at the close of the film, gave his benediction to viewers.
