National Party; Raetihi Branch’s Annual Meeting

Mr. C D. Lynch, chairman of the Raetihi branch, presided over a record attendance of members and supporters of the National Party at the annual general meeting. A vigorous and inspiring address was given by the electorate chairnan, Mr. L. N. Ritchie, and the enthusiasm throughout the meeting was indicative of the wholehearted spirit in whicn the National Party supporters intend to fight tne coming ueneral Election. Mr. F. R Barrington, electorate secretary-organiser, also addressed the meeting on electorate activities, with particular reference to the new-ly-formed branches His sound knowledge of the organisation throughout the Waimarino electorate gave valued assistance to those elected to executive positions in the branch. The election of officers for the coming year resulted in Mr. C. D. Lynch being returned as chairman and Mr. H. J. Donnelly being appointed as deputy-chairman, with Miss G M. Goldfinch as secretary. These executives are supported by a large and enthusiastic committee. The serving of supper by the ladies’ committee brought the meeting to a close
