WASHINGTON, April 12 (Rec. 7.15 p.m.)—The United States Air Force today ordered another 39 836 bombers—the biggest in the world- raising to 169 the number now on hand or building. The number of B36’s already delivered Io the Air Force is a military secret but the United Press believe it is over 30. The 836 can operate effectively at 40.000 feet. The Air Force also has on order 390 850 s. which are an improved version of the Superfortress.
