Greek Cabinet Resigns

ATHENS, April 12.—The Greek Prime Minister. M. Sophoulis, handed the resignation of his Cabinet tonight to King Paul. The king immediately asked him to form a new government. M. Sophoulis’ resignation was a sequel to his threat to resign if the king did not sign a decree expelling Sypros Markezinis, Minister without portfolio, because of allegations associating him with foreign exchange smuggling. Markezinis had refused to leave the Cabinet without action to clea r his position.
