American Invitation For Highland Fling

CHRISTCHURCH, Yesterday (PA). —Highland Fling, champion New Zealand pacer, may compete at big meet- - ings in the United States. A telegram from Los Angeles, received recently, contained an offer for the horse to compete in events in America next October and November. The telegram reads* "We have races for 65,000 dollars for which Highland Fling is eligible on October 8 and through to November 26 at Hollywood Park. If the owner is interested- cable us immediately. Signed, Kearney, Western Harness Racing Association.” “The period mentioned in the telegram is the very time that we want to b? in New Zealand,” said the owner of Highlan-’ Fling. Mr A- T. Kemble. November was the time of the New Zealand Cuj meeting, he said, but both he and L. F Berkett- the trainerdriver, were definitely interested in the proposition if the time could be adjusted.
