CARPENTERS TO HOLD MEETING IN AUCKLAND THIS MORNING

CHRISTCHURCH. Last Night (PA) —“lt must be clearly understood that before the lock-out was imposed on them a majority of the carpenters in Auckland were enjoying the 4s an hour and travelling time they are now claiming,” said the national president oi‘ the Carpenters’ Union, Mr F. L. Langley, today. Mr Langley was commenting on the report that some carpenters had gone back to work in Auckland. "Information has been received from the Auckland office, ’ said Mr Langley, “that very few men have resumed work in spite of the employers’ invitation. "A meeting of all members of the Auckland branch will be held in Carlaw Park tomorrow morning to consider’the further policy of the unwa he added.
