CHARGE OF ALLEGED MURDER PREFERRED AGAINST FARMHAND
CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night (PA) —Samuel Arthur Protheroe, farm hand, aged 42. was charged in the Magistrate's Court this morning with the murder of Brian O'Connor on March 18, at Chertsey, and was remanded in custody for a week by Mr. Raymond Ferner, S.M. Protheroe was also remanded on a charge of assaulting O’Connoi' so as to cause actual bodily harm. Counsel consented to the remand. When asking for a remand Detec-tive-Sergeant R. S. Smith said that there were further inquiries .to be made
