AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA).— A loss of £20,000 for the Auckland Electric Power Board for the year ending March 31, is forecast by the general manager of the board, Mr. R

11. Bartley, in a statement for the nine months ended December 31, which was presented to the board to-

A(. the end of the nine months under review the board had a surplus of £7149, compared with one of £50,166 Cor the corresponding period in the previous year. “The figure of £20,000 is only an approximation, and if the less is not greater than this I con-

sider we will be very fortunate when we consider all the factors which have led up to this position," states Mr. Bartley. "I had thought it would be much in excess of this figure, and in our estimates presented to the board last year we anticipated that the loss would amount to £35,000.”
