Child Found Drowned in Creek At Takaka, Nelson
NELSON, Last Night (PA).- Wand< ring away from her home in Motupipi Road, Takaka, yesterday afternoon, a 20-monlhs-old child fell into a nearby stream and was drowned. She was Cynthia Solly, a daughter of Mr and Mrs Walter Solly, of Takaka. Mr Solly is a seaman aboard the steamer Rata. At about 4.15 yesterday afternoon the child was missed by her mother. A search was instituted and the cr-'ld was found lying .in lhe ivTotupipi | Stream. Dr. E. C. Bydder was called and applied artificial respiration for about three-quarters of an hour with- • out success.
