WELLINGTON. Last Night I I’.A.) —Arising out of a circular issued oy a branch of the New Zealand Carpenters’ and Joiners’ Union calling on members to pay a levy of £1 per week for financial support of the Auckland carpenters during the present dispute, the Department of Labour has been asked by a number of members ol tiie branch whether there is any obligation to pay such levy.
