BRITISH EVACUATION OF ARMY CENTRE NORTH OF MANDALAY

RANGOON, March 8 (Recd. 12.40 a.m.)—British evacuation of tlie Army centre o£ Maymyo, north of Mandalay, began today, reports the Associated Press. A British Embassy spokesman said the evacuees, including 120 civilians and 50 members of the British Services Mission, work being taken to the nearest airfield for the flight to Rangoon.
