Mr. J. J. O’Reilly (Westmere) has been elected a vice-president of the New Zealand South African Veterans’ Association. Messrs. B M. Pitkethley, president of the Rotary Club of Wanganui, H. R. Lattey, vieg-president, and E H. Poynter, secretary, are at present in Auckland attending the annual conference of the 52nd. Rotary District. Mr. E Done, who has been honorary secretary of the Tawhero Golf Club for the past seven years, resigned from that position at the annual meeting on Saturday. Tribute to his services was paid by Mr. J. Saltinstall, the president, and Mr. Done was accorded a vote of thanks. The new secretary is Mr. T. E. Nixon.
