Wanganui Real Estate Institute Holds Its Annual Meeting

The annual general mee.mg of the Wanganui branch of the Real Estate Institute of N.Z- (Inc.) was held on Monday last. There was a a good attendance of members. The president (Mr. W. H. Ward,, gave a detailed account of the branch’s activities particularly stressing the fact that members had invariably discharged their duty tOj the public in accordance with the standard of ethics as set by the institute. The following officers were electeo for the ensuing year: Pres.derc. Mr. W. H. Ward (re-elected >: vice-presi-dent, Mr. A. M. Gordon, Tait.apa (reelected); secretary, Mr G. W. Caird (re-elected); committee. Messrs. F. R. H Brice (Marton), H. J. Duigan, i' G. Hackshaw and W. S. F. Moffett. Mr. R. H. Beauchamp did no*, seek election and members exoiessei sincere regret that he was retiring from tbe eommitte and placed on record tliei r appreciation of the contribution he had made in establishing the standard of integrity of the institute. Mr. G. W. Currie, solicitor to the local branch was in attendance and gave an interesting and instructive address relative to recent amendments to the Servicemen’s Settlement and Land Sales and Fair Rent's Acts
