Two Southland Nominees For “Miss N.Z. Quest”

INVERCARGILL. Last Night (PA). Two Southland candidates have been announced for th e “Miss New Zealand” quest. They are: Miss Pauline Metzger, of Bluff, and Miss Joan Teller, of Invercargill, the former being sponsored by the Bluff branch of the R.S-A. and the latter by the Southland branch of the Air Forc e Association.

Miss Metzger is aged 21, a daughter of Mr and Mrs O. F. Metzger, of Bluff She is interested in music and sport. Miss Telfer is aged 23, a daughter of Mr and Mrs R. J. Telfer of Napier, and was born at Gore. Miss Telfer is a dental nurse in charge of the clinic at the North Invercargill school. She also is interested in music and sports, and was a member of Dr Orbell> party' which discovered the notornis.
