Growers’ President Hopes Trouble Will Not Spread Further

Before he left for Wellington yesterday to attend a conference, Mr. E. B. Chisholm, president of the Growers’ Association in Wanganui, told a “Chronicle” reporter that he hoped the trouble would not spread any further.

“If the Wanganui retailers are going to support the main centres I still hope that friendly negotiations will be successful,” said Mr. Chisholm. Mr. Chisholm expects to return from Wellington tomorrow.
