SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Miss Susan Buckrell, Guyton Street, was a recent visitor to Wellington, where she was among the guests at the coming-of-age party of Miss Doreen Milne, Lower Hutt. Mrs. W. R. McElwain, Bell Street, left yesterday for Auckland, where she will be the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Ray Tremewan, before flying to Australia on Thursday. She will visit her son, Dr. D. McElwain.
Mrs. J. C. Batt, president of the Wanganui Townswomen’s Guild, left on Monday for Wellington to attend a meeting of the Dominion executive.
