When Thomas Edward Winnie, Patea, freezing works labourer, ap- ] beared in the Magistrate's Court before Mr. J. H. Salmon. S.M., yesterday 1 charged with the theft of a man’s £lO | suit, he was sentenced to six months' gaol. On the charge of the theft of an ' alarm clock, valued at 10s, he is to I serve one month in gaol, concurrently I with the other sentence. i Both the suit and the clock are I owned by H. T, Guildford. The pro- | perty is to be returned. | On a further charge of a breach of his probation order, accused was remanded to appear at Lower Hutt. Sergeant L. Nicol represented the police.
