Smash And Grab In Palmerston Jeweller's Window; Arrests Made
PALMERSTON NORTH, Last Night.- A smash and grab raid on a jeweller’s shop window in Broadway. Palmerston North, in the early hours of this morning culminated in the arrest of two young men at Feilding. They will appear in the Magistrate’s Court at Palmerston North tomorrow charged with the theft of watches valued at £lB6 12s, the property of Fishers Merchant Jewellers. A piece of rock, weighing about 71h or 81b., had beenhurlej through the lower part of a large plate glass window, making a hole two to throe feet across.
