Trophy Provided For Rangitikei Event
Accompanying the winner’s share of the £750 stake for the Rangitikei Handicap, principal event at the Rangitikei Racing Club’s meeting on February 19, will be a trophy valued at £5O. This has been provided by the club, which has reserved for the Rangitikei Cup next spring the £5O remaining from the £lOO donated by Mr. W. McA. Duncan, who also furnished the trophy for the 1948 Rangitikei Cup. There will also be trophies for the trainer of the winner and the successful jockey.
Nominations for all events are due to close at 5 p m. next Monday.
