Ship’s Quartermaster Killed On Wharf

CHRISTCHURCH, Yestedday (PA). —John Campbell, quartermaster of the overseas ship Port Chalmers, was killed instantly when he fell under a railway van which was being backed on to the steamer express wharf at Lyttelton at about 6. 4 5 p.m. yesterday. He suffered shocking injuries and his body was not identified until early this morning.
