An Austrian prefabricated “thermo-insulated” timber house which has been opened at Bandstead, Surrey, for exhibition purposes. The structure is a standard product which is now part of Austria’s export trade. It is a permanent dwelling and a special feature is the use of aluminium foil, which, in addition to air cavities and fibre board, insulates the walls and ceilings, thus keeping the house cool in summer and warm in winter, tl is claimed the house can be erected in seven days.
