Letters To “Father Xmas” May Be Burnt
SYDNEY (By Airmail). —Australian post offices received thousands of letters addressed to: “Father Christmas,’’ during the pre-Christmas period, many more than the usual seasonal average. Postal officials said the letters would be burned if not claimed within six months- from the dead letter office. This prompted one newspaper .o ask: “Who killed Father Christmas ’’—Reuter.
