Cannon, me-dium-fast right-hander, obtained three shock wickets against Auckland before the batsmen fathomed his highly unorthodox delivery. L. Miller, who took part In the recent Minor Associations’ trial match at Palmerston North, Is not only a good, fastish left-arm swing howler, but is an excellent hat. Leighton Is another first-class bat and others likeIv to make the grade are M Gray, N. Giddy, J. Scott and C. Hurcomhe R. Heals, a New Plymouth High School player, has been among the runs In club cricket, although he did not get far against Auckland. He is a batsman with definite stroke-making ability. The Taranaki team has recognised batting strength right down to and including number nine, and also has a varied attack. Rangitikei can expect no easy match. HUTT COLTS DEFEAT FEILDING.
