Some Improvement In King’s Health

(N.Z.P.A.—Reuter—Copyright.) LONDON. Dec. 6. —The following bulletin was issued from Buckingham Palace today: “His Majesty’s general health continues to be good and he devotes a considerable proportion of his time to the conduct of affairs of State. The process of the restoration of the arterial circulation of the feet is proceeding slowly, and since the bulletin of November 29 a further small but encouraging improvement has occurred. “His Majesty, to secure the rest and warm environment which are indispensible for a re-establishment of the circulation, is remaining in his apartments and spends most of his time in bed.” Reuter’s Court correspondent says the fact that the doctors used the word encouraging concerning future Improvement in a restoration of the circulation is regarded as a good sign. The reference to restoration of circulation “to the feet,’’ whereas only the right foot was mentioned in the original bulletin, presumably means that there has been some affectation of the circulation of both feet. The bulletin, which was the third issued concerning His Majesty’s illness, was signed by the same five doctors who issued the original statement a fortnight ago. There is no indication when another bulletin will be issued, but the doctors are continuing regular visits to His Majesty.
