MAYOR OF LYTTELTON HAS RESIGNED
CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night (PA). The Mayor of Lyttelton, Mr. Frederick George Briggs, today handed hfs resignation to the town clerk. Mr. Briggs said he had no cotpment to make on his action.
A by-election will be he'd to till tna vacancy, and it. is understood that Mr. Briggs will contest the by-election it asked to do so by the Labour Party.
