Agreement In France To End Dock Strike
(N.Z.P.A.—Reuter—Copyright.) PARIS. Nov. 27 (Rec. 6 pm).—A Ministry of Transport official announced that the French Government has reached an agreement with the Communist-led Dockers’ Federation to avert a nation-wide dockers’ strike. The Communist-led Miners’ Federation at the same time called on “100,000 miners still on strike” to resume work on Monday. The strike has lasted eight weeks and has cost France 9,000,000 tons of coal.
