N.Z. Wools In Very Strong Demand On London Market

LONDON, Nov. 26 (Recd. 6pm).— New Zealand wools were in exceptionally strong demand from both the home trade and continental buyers, when the November series of sales were resumed in London yesterday, says a report by the committee of London Wool Brokers. ft states that at the close of the day's selling line and medium crossSlipes were up ot five per cent, dearer, than at the opening sales last week, while scoured crossbreds sold readily at rates generally 10 per cent, higher. Slips were up to five per cent, dearer. Sales catalogued totalled 23,125. of which 10107 were from New Zealand, including 5503 on account of private shippers. There was an almost total clearance and rates were fully on a par with those ruling at the opening sales in Auckland. Sales will be continued today with a catalogue of 22,230 bales.
