Women’s Division

Hunterville W.D.F.F. —For the November meeting it was decided to make a hospital gift, an attractive tin of biscuits for adults and a box of sweets for the children. Members were also asked to bring contributions for ‘Corso’ next month—any of the following articles: Cottons (sewing or embroidery), tape, wool (skeins or odd ends), knitting needles, buttons, needles and fasteners, pieces of material, embroidery, tops of socks, stationery, chalks, pencils, crayons, books. The competition for the afternoon, a flower trimmed hat, brought attractive entries. Results: Miss C. Meads 1, Mrs. S. Maundvell 2, Miss McDonald 3, Mrs. Weston 4. The specimen bloom points: Mrs. L. Hammond 4, Mrs. Kilminster 4, Miss McDonald 3, Mrs. Wall 3, Miss Meads 3. An entertaining play reading was presented by Miss McDonald, Mesdames Laird, Renshaw and Meads. The afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Weston, Pitcaithly and Wilton. The overseas parcel was won by Mrs. P. Dalziell.
