Two Wanganui Crews To Compete For Maadi School Rowing Cup

To compete for the Maadi Cup, eight-oar crews from the Wanganui Collegiate School and Wanganui

'Technical College will leave for Auckland on Thursday. The race will, be held on Saturday morning at Westhaven. Other competing crews in the rice are Mount Albert Grammar (holders), Sacred Heart College and Seddon Memorial College.

Wilson (bow). Reserve, W. R. Loader. Coach, Mr. C. A. Healey. Collegiate School: T. M. Duncan (cox), H. G. Shelton (stroke), B. D. Johns, G. P. Shirtcliff, M. J. Worseldine, L. G. Dixon, D. L. Blackley, J. A. Powdrell (bow). Reserve, D. L. Brydone. Coach, Mr. G. F. Austin.

The Maadi Cup was won by New Zealand oarsmen In Cairo during the war and presented for New Zealand secondary school rowing.
