Women’s Division
Hunterville.— The monthly meeting of the Hunterville braneii of the W.D.F.F. .was held on Thursday, October 14. Mrs. Me Alley presided. There was a good attendance of members and two new members. Mrs R. Renshaw and Mrs. P. Toulmin were welcomed. The correspondence was read. The report of the quarterly provincial meeting drew the attention of members to the following: 1. The wages of the dressmaker, Miss Elder, had been increased to 12s 6d a day. 2. Donations for "Scotlands” were urgently required. 3. The opinion of members was asked re sending levies direct to headquartrs or to the provincial treasurer. Discussion took place concerning a further ’ donation for "Scotlands” and it was proposed that £5 be given, it was the opinion of the meeting that the levies should be sent direct to headquarters. A letter had been received by Miss McDonald from a German family thanking her for garments sent from the branch last year. A notice from the Raffle Controller prohibited the raffling of a cake and it was agreed to raffle a doll instead.
