INVERCARGILL, Last Night (PA). —The Invercargill Trotting Club helci its spring meeting yesterday. The weather was fine but. the track was heavy for the first few races following recent heavy rain. The totalisator handled £32.344 10s, against £33,354 for the 1947 spring meeting, a decrease of £lOl9 10s. Lottie Dale caused a major upset in winning the Travis Memorial Handicap, returning a dividend of more than £75. Results:—
