Penalties For Crime Provided In Cook Islands Bill
PARLIAMENT BLDGS., Last Night. (PA).—The Cook Islands Amendment Bill, introduced in the House of Representatives today, provides a penalty of five years’ imprisonment with hard labour for unlawful entry of a dweEinghouse by night with intent to commit a criminal offence, or for being found by night in any dwellinghouse without lawful justification. A similar penalty is prescribed for threats to do bodily harm to another, and removes the limit of £1 a week on maintenance orders.
