Keen Competition F or Opossum Skins In Dunedin
DUNEDIN. Last Night (Special).— The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., reports that 99,000 opossum skins were offered today. mostly from the North Island. The quality was mostly better than in September and competition was keen, though not widespread. Values follow grades were unchanged, and others increased by Is to 2s 3d per skin, compared with September. Prices realised were: — Super browns, 7s 4d and 9s; firsts, 6s lid and 7s sd; seconds, 4s and 4s 3d; thirds, 8d and 9d; super blacks, 7s 9d; firsts, 6s Id: seconds. 3s; thirds. 9d; super rednecks, 10s Id; firsts. 9s; seconds, 5s sd; thirds. Is 4d; super greys, 10s 6d and 11s lid; firsts, 8s 9d and 9s; seconds, 4s 2d: thirds. Is and Is 2d; super blues, 12s; firsts, 10s; seconds, 7s; thirds, Is 2d; smalls, 4d to Is 6d.
