Women’s Hockey Social Held; Trophies Presented To Winners
The end-of-season social of the Wanganui Women’s Hockey Association was held last night when trophies won during the year were presented to the following: Senior Championship Cup: Collegians (captain, Miss K O’Toole). Hinemoa Cup (senior seven-a-side tournament): Girls’ College (captain, Miss C. Christie). Mary Johnson Shield (junior championship). Girls’ College B (captain, Miss B. Pitkethley). Gonville Cups ’ (junior seven-a-side): Won by Stewart team (captain. Miss M Macleay). Opening Day Cups (presented by Miss C Gifford Moore for 11-a-side tournament): Tech. Old Girls and Collegians drew (captains. Miss R Grinstead and Miss K. O' Toole).
