Regional Planning Councils
SOME GOOD, OTHERS DOCILE AND SOME INDOLENT. PARLIAMENT BLDGS., Yesterday (PA). —In the House ol Representatives today, replying to a question raised by Mr. E. P. Aderman (Opp.. New Plymouth) the progress, oi otherwise being made by regional planning councils, Mr. Sen.Me .;a.<! ijie activities of the councils largely depended on the type of person on them. Some councils wore docile, ho said: others were doing good work and some were indelent. One reason why the activities of councils were restricted was because of a shortage of manpower and materials. What materials were available usually had to be concentrated on more urgent jobs.
