(P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., Sept. 14. A conference of Commonwealth Prime Ministers to discuss broad, general questions of common interest will begin in London on October 11, said the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) today. Most of the Commonwealth Prime Ministers would be present, but unfortunately Mr. Chifley, who had visited the United Kingdom in July, would be unable to leave Australia again after so short an interval. Australia would be represented by Dr. Evatt. Mr. Fraser said that while en route to London he would see Mr. Chifley. He had been informed that the Prime Minister of South Africa would also be unable to be' present owing to nressure of domestic matters and Parliamentary business, and South Africa would be" represented by Mr. Eric Lowe, the Minister of Mines and Economic Affai_rs. As was customary on these occasions, the meeting would be a private one at which there would be confidential discussions and exchanges of views on matters of common concern between the Commonwealth Prime Ministers.
