ALL BLACK TRIAL AT WANGANUI
GUDSELL IN THE COMBINED TARANAKI-WANGANUI SIDE TEAMS FOR NEXT SATURDAY -Some changes have been made in the Wanganui-Taranaki combined Rugby team to play in the All Black trial match at Wanganui next Saturday against a combined ManawatuHorowhenua side. M. Hunter (W.) is unavailable because of illnes and K. Gudsell (W.) will play in the side. He will be second five-tighths and G. Beatty (Taranaki), who was to have played at second, outside Hunter, is now to be first five-eighths. D. Beard (W.) has been brought in as a further reserve forward, and M. Dixon (W.) as a reserve back. The amended team is as follows: Full-back: G. Sherlock (W). Three-quarters: P. Henderson (W), E. Rowlands (T), and A. O’Byrne (T). Five-eighths: K. Gudsell (W.), 2nd; G. Beatty (TJ. Half-back: W. Cameron (T). Back row: D. Carlson (T). Sides: J. Whale (W), and J. Kissick (T). Locks: B. Pedley (W>, V. Bell (W). Front row: S. Granville (W), R. Dallison (W). D. Ancell (T). Reserve Backs: I. Whale (W.). M. Dixon (W.). Forwards: H. Rowley (W.), R. Potier (TJ, D. Beard (W.). The selectors were Messrs. S. Ambrose (W), and U. Walker (T).
