OBITUARY
MRS. M. F. NEWRICK. The death has occurred of Mrs. M. F. Newrick, wife of Mr. H. Newrick, curator of the Sarjeant Art Gallery, Wanganui, after an illness of many months. Born in Devonshire, England, she was the second daughter of Commander John Beverley-Robinson, R.N. and uas married in 1894. Many New Zealand ex-servicemen will remember Mrs. Newrick’s kindness and the hospitality which she extended to them at her homo, “Oak Lodge,’’ near Walton-on-Thames, during the 19141918 war. In 1921 Mrs. Newrick came to New Zealand with her husband and family and sett-led in Wanganui. She was also an early member of the W.D.F.U. and the Y.M.C.A. She is survived by her husband and Mrs. N. T. Symes (Westmere), Mrs. E. V. Benson, Messrs’ A. Newrick and B. Newrick (Wanganui), J. Newrick Auckland) Mrs. C. H. Vincent (Wellington), Mrs. C. H. Doughty (Palmerston North', and Mrs. J, Calvtr (Wanganui).
