Quiz Show To Visit Wanganui
Thousands have heard the big quiz show on the radio, heard the laughter, the questions and the answers, and also of the big prizes being won. Wanganui, Marton, Patea and Waverley are to be given the opportunity to enjoy the excitement ol other centres and try for the prizes which include radio, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner, lawn mower, electric clock, tyres and tubes, shirts, ties, socks, subscriptions to sporting periodical, chocolate, household appliances, ornaments, wine and spirit hamper, household cleaning sets, and other gifts of a wide range. Full entry forms and reservations are now obtainable at the Majestic Theatre. Because of the widespread interest, the public is advised to make early application for seats. Contestants will be chosen by the audience from the audience. Riddles, Risks and Rewards will be staged in the Majestic Theatre, Wanganui, on August 30, in conjunction with a picture screening; at Patea Town Hall, on Thursday, September 2, when a district talent quest will be held; and at Waverley. at the Town Hall, on Friday. September 3. Free entry forms for the quiz talent quest and reserves are obtainable from the usual source.
In the smaller centres, as in the large cities, the theatres in each district have been too small to accommodate the crowds, and the public is advised to make early application for seats. ,
Marton will have its night on Friday, August 27, at the Civic Theatre, and free entry forms are obtainable from the Town Hall.
