Man Killed In Fall Of Stack Of Timber
(P.A.) Gore, Aug. 16. Charles George Thomson, aged 24, timber worker, of Gore and formerly of Orepuki, was killed almost instantly in the yards of the United Trading Company this afternoon when he was crushed by the fall of timber from a large stack. The timber fell on him and severely crushed his head and chest, and he died before medical aid arrived.
