Three Main Trunk Goods Trains Have Been Cancelled

(P.A.) New Plymouth, Aug. 16. Three Main Trunk goods trains have been cancelled as the result of the strike in the Waikato coalfields, according to Taumarunui railway officials.

The services cancelled are the daily trains between Taumarunui and Frankton Junction and the daily train from Taumarunui to Ohakune. Although coal stocks at Taumarunui railways yards are not considered good, it was stated today that enough coal was on hand to prevent the situation from becoming serious for a few days.
